Elizabeth's Christmas (Hardcover)

£19.99

After years of waiting, God remembered her. Companion volumes in this series have already traced Mary and Joseph each in their own right. Elizabeth's Christmas returns to Elizabeth specifically, tracing her own considerably longer road to joy, decades of faithful waiting through prolonged childlessness, news received indirectly through her husband's own silence, five hidden months, a remarkable visit from a young cousin, and a genuine prophetic voice spoken through the Holy Ghost. From her own rich priestly heritage and name, to a centuries old pattern connecting her to Hannah, another barren woman remembered in her own appointed time, to decades of quiet, righteous disappointment, to a bold insistence on her son's correct name against an entire community's own expectation, to the moment she finally heard her own husband's voice return after nine silent months, to whatever faithful, unrecorded parenting filled the years that followed, this book traces Elizabeth's complete story, discovering, one patient season at a time, the joy God's own perfect timing eventually brought her. Written in a warm, clear, and accessible voice, this is the twentieth book in the author's Christmas series, and it stands complete on its own. For anyone who has ever wondered whether God still remembers a long delayed prayer, this book offers Elizabeth's own patient, faithful example.
